El artículo presenta un estado de arte sobre la historiografía de la guerra en Colombia durante el siglo XIX, haciendo énfasis en la historia narrativa, la historia social y económica y la historia cultural. Resalta el predominio de la historia narrativa en la primera oleada de investigadores, quienes fueron básicamente herederos de una escritura surgida en las memorias de la guerra. También hace énfasis en el dominio del ensayo en la que se denominó "La nueva historia" y en las recientes tendencias de estudio que buscan realizar trabajos de mayor alcance y significado.

This paper presents a literature review regarding the historiography of the war in Colombia during the 19th century, emphasizing narrative history, social and economic history, and cultural history. The dominance of narrative history among the first wave of researchers is highlighted. These researchers basically inherited writings created from memories of the war. The paper also emphasizes the role of the essay in what was denominated "new history" and on recent trends of study that aim to complete works with greater scope and meaning.
