    El presente artículo se ha centrado en el carácter innovador y pionero de las obras de la artista tarraconense Mari Chordà en torno a la sexualidad femenina. Su manera de representar el cuerpo de la mujer acota y dirige la mirada del espectador hacia un tema tabú, en ocasiones prohibido u oculto socialmente, como es el proceso del embarazo. A través de sus pinturas expresa las cambios corporales y emocionales experimentados durante la gestación, transformando la mirada y convirtiéndose en el sujeto activo de la creación, lo que ha posibilitado la reflexión acerca de los mecanismos que operan en la validación de la representación sexual de la mujer dentro del sistema tradicional del arte. Tras una introducción sobre las características de la representación del cuerpo femenino, especialmente en los relatos mitológicos clásicos, se ha realizado una conexión con la obra de Chordà, estableciendo analogías y diferencias para valorar las distintas interpretaciones sobre la representación de lo íntimo y su carácter subversivo para la norma y el orden simbólico de la historiografía oficial

    The present article has focused on the innovative and pioneering nature of the works by the artist from Tarragona, Mari Chordà, regarding female sexuality. Her way of representing the female body defines and directs the viewer's gaze towards a taboo subject, sometimes socially forbidden or concealed, such as the process of pregnancy. Through her paintings, she expresses the bodily and emotional changes experienced during gestation, transforming the perspective, and becoming the active subject of creation. This has enabled reflection on the mechanisms that operate in validating the sexual representation of women within the traditional art system. Following an introduction to the characteristics of representing the female body, especially in classical mythological narratives, a connection has been established with Chordà's work, drawing analogies and differences to assess the various interpretations of the representation of the intimate and its subversive nature to the norm and the symbolic order of official historiography
