El autor presenta dos aspectos de la obra de José Ortega y Gasset que explican parcialmente su pensamiento y su formación. De un lado, se ofrece una relación de filósofos griegos y autores latinos citados por Ortega. De otro, se ofrece una relación de los profesores que le enseñaron griego y latín, así como los nombres de algunos especialistas en la época clásica, cuyas obras leyó Ortega en alguna etapa de su vida.

The author discusses two aspects of the work of José Ortega y Gasset that explain in part his philosophy and background. On the one hand, a list of Greek philosophers and Latin authors quoted by Ortega is offered. On the other hand, the autor presents a list of Greek and Latin teachers and the names of some specialists of the Classic Period, whose works were read by Ortega some time in his life.
