Resumen de En torno a la primera estancia de Dominik Josef Wölfel en Gran Canaria

• D. J. Wölfel’s first stay in the Canaries was understood and planned as a preparatory visit, as a necessary and preliminary stage prior to the main and definitive research journey he hopefully intended to carry out in a very near future. That is why Wölfel devoted his time to acquire a deep knowledge of documentation and bibliography, to pay a visit to prehistoric sites and places of anthrophological and ethnographic interest, and to get the widest recognition and cooperation of the political powers and cultural institutions, as it is reflected in this paper which deals with Wölfel’s stay in Gran Canaria, the last chapter of his first contact with the Islands.
