Los compromisos adquiridos a nivel mundial, a partir de la Cumbre de Río y de la firma del Protocolo de Kioto, han obligado a la Unión Europea y a España a la formulación de de políticas energéticas que potencie e incentive las energías renovables y por tanto la hidroeléctrica. En el presente artículo se formulan las singularidades de los estudios de viabilidad de las inversiones en materia de Minicentrales Hidroeléctricas, detectando la necesidad de introducir en los mismos el concepto de riesgo así como el agilizar procesos administrativos que en la actualidad frenan nuevas actuaciones o rehabilitaciones de las ya existentes

The acquired commitments at world level, starting from the Summit of Rio and of the signature of the Protocol of Kioto, they have forced to the European Union and Spain to the formulation of energy politicians that foments and motivate the renewable energy and therefore the Small Hydro-Power. Presently article the singularities of the studies of viability of the investments are formulated as regards Small Hydro-Power, detecting the necessity to introduce in the same ones the concept of risk as well as speeding up administrative processes that at the present time already brake new performances or rehabilitations of those existent.
