    Los autores de este estudio reflexionan sobre las diferentes dimensiones que intervienen en la práctica docente universitaria. A partir de su experiencia como docentes y basando su estudio en diversos filósofos y especialistas en ética de la educación, exploran algunos de los aspectos más cruciales de la práctica docente universitaria. En particular, desarrolla un profundo análisis sobre la idea de la libertad académica y los deberes del educador con respecto a sus alumnos. Se ha llegado a una educación, según palabras de Ortega, sin alma, insignificante, cuando no es el aprendizaje de conocimientos o habilidades lo que justifica la tarea del profesor. Es más bien la formación de ciudadanos comprometidos en sus derechos u obligaciones, la apropiación de valores éticos que hagan de cada individuo alguien capaz de responder éticamente a los retos de un mundo en permanente cambio” Ortega Ruiz, P. y Romero Sánchez, E. (2019).  (p. 45). El presente escrito tiene por propósito explorar las implicaciones que ha traído el progreso del conocimiento, indagando y tratando de responder el porqué del comportamiento del docente, su forma y modo de ver al mundo su ética, que en concordancia con Ayllón (1998), es el arte de construir nuestra propia vida.

    The authors of this study reflect on the different dimensions involved in university teaching practice. Drawing on their experience as teachers and basing their study on diverse philosophers and specialists in the ethics of education, they explore some of the most crucial aspects of university teaching practice. In particular, it develops an in-depth analysis of the idea of academic freedom and the duties of the educator with respect to his students. education has been reached, in Ortega's words, soulless, insignificant, when it is not the learning of knowledge or skills that justifies the task of the teacher. the formation of citizens committed to their rights or obligations, the appropriation of ethical values that make each individual someone capable of responding ethically to the challenges of a world in permanent change" Ortega Ruiz, P. and Romero Sánchez, E. The purpose of this paper is to explore the implications that the progress of knowledge has brought, investigate, and try to answer the reason for the behavior of the teacher, his way and way of seeing the world his ethics, which in accordance with Ayllón (1998), is the art of building our own life.
