  As pesquisas sobre história da educação são, em muitos casos, caracterizadas pela existência de narrativas que ocultam – macro-narrativas – ou desvelam – micro-narrativas – os movimentos sociais. Ao longo das últimas décadas, observamos o crescimento de estudos que procuram ampliar os espaços de participação desses movimentos. As teorias, que vão do marxismo ao pós-estruturalismo tentam, cada um a seu modo, elaborar narrativas enfocando aspectos afeitos a esses esquemas explicativos. Assim, os movimentos negro e indígena, também veem a possibilidade de elaborar narrativas históricas através da construção de signos que produzem identidades. Pois, avaliam, somente assim, que essas referências históricas passarão a fazer sentido no conjunto das narrativas. Entretanto, o maior perigo existente nessas elaborações, aparece nas tentativas de anular, ou invalidar, as demais narrativas, visto que, é a partir da confrontação de diferentes narrativas e representações, que as mesmas extraem sua força.

  Researches on the history of education are inmany cases characterized by the existence of narratives that conceal – macro-narratives – or unveil – micro-narratives – the social movements. Over the past decades, we observe the growth of studies to enlarge the area in which these movements. Theories, ranging from Marxism to post structuralismtry, each in its own way, prepare narratives focusing accustomed to these explanatory schemes aspects. So the Black and Indigenous movements also see the possibility of establishing historical narratives through the construction of signs that produce identities. Therefore,evaluate only so that these historical references will make sense in all the narratives. However, the greatest danger that existed in these developments it appears in attempts to nullify, or invalidate, the other narratives, since it is from the confrontation of different narratives and representations, which they draw their strength.
