The authors describe two new forms of Tytthodiscus which have been observed in various miocène sediments from Cameroons (Africa) an Chili (South America). These two forms are assigned to the species T. vanderhammeni Solé de Porta, from the Tertiary Colombia of which they represent two distinct varieties: var camerounensis nov. var. and var. chilensis nov. var. Those observations extend to Africa and to the austral region of South America, the area of distribution of the genus Tytthodiscus. These microorganisms seem to be characteristics of the Tertiary and more precisely of the Miocene.
