    El siguiente trabajo de investigación tiene como meta final conocer de qué manera ha incidido el Subsector Financiero de la Economía Popular y Solidaria en el desarrollo económico de las pequeñas y medianas empresas PYMES en el cantón Guayaquil desde el 2015 al 2017.

    Conforme a datos estadísticos proporcionados por páginas gubernamentales del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo (INEC), Superintendencia de Economía Popular y Solidaria (SEPS), entre otras; y, en base a los resultados obtenidos al momento de realizar encuestas que fueron dirigidas a las PYMES y a Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito, se pudo obtener información de primera mano sobre datos relevantes para el desarrollo de este proyecto de investigación.

    El interés de las autoras en realizar este proyecto es dar a conocer el funcionamiento del Subsector Financiero de la Economía Popular y Solidaria, así como éste conjunto de actores y productos financieros., con el transcurrir de los años 2015 al 2017, contribuyeron al impulso y desarrollo de las PYMES del cantón de Guayaquil, provincia del Guayas. Para esto se realizó un análisis de los créditos otorgados y de los requisitos y trámites necesarios para acceder a dichos productos financieros, así como los resultados que obtuvieron los receptores de dichos créditos en sus negocios.

    The following research work has as final goal to know how the Financial Subsector of the Popular and Solidarity Economy has affected the economic development of SMEs in the Guayaquil canton from 2015 to 2017.

    According to statistical data provided by government pages of the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), Superintendence of Popular and Solidarity Economy (SEPS) and based on the results obtained at the time of conducting surveys that were directed to SMEs and Savings Cooperatives and Credit, it was possible to obtain first-hand information about relevant data for the development of this research project.

    The authors' interest in carrying out this project is to publicize the functioning of this Financial Sub-Sector of the Popular and Solidarity Economy, what are the benefits granted by this sub-sector for the development of small and medium-sized businessmen who seek by this means the objective of obtain an income and as this set of actors and financial products, with the passing of the years 2015 to 2017, have contributed to the promotion and development of SMEs in the canton of Guayaquil, province of Guayas; for this, an analysis was made of the loans granted and the requirements necessary to access said financial products, as well as the results obtained by the receivers of said credits in their businesses.
