    El presente artículo tiene como obje- tivo hacer una primera aproximación al estudio del posconflicto en la independencia de Venezuela (reconociendo que es una categoría muy poco utili- zada en el país y un área de estudio casi inexplorada en la disciplina histórica) desde la perspectiva inter- disciplinaria de la historia de la paz, entendiéndolo como una dinámica donde el conflicto, a pesar de no haberse resuelto totalmente, inicia un proceso de transformación donde se reducen de manera significativa las regulaciones violentas (directas, estructurales y culturales) entre las partes - siendo un indicador crucial la disminución del número de víctimas mortales - y se genera una tendencia hacia el incremento de las regulaciones pacíficas (negativas, positivas y culturales). En ese sentido, se identifica el período entre las mediaciones que producen los Tratados de Trujillo entre los bandos en disputa, en noviembre de 1820, y la Batalla de Carabobo, de junio de 1821, como aquel donde se sientan las bases del posconflicto que se extenderá hasta casi el último tercio del siglo XIX.

    This article aims to make a first approach to the study of the post-conflict in the indepen- dence of Venezuela (recognizing that it is a category very little used in the country and an area of study almost unexplored in the historical discipline) from the interdisciplinary perspective of the peace his- tory of Venezuela, understanding it as a dynamic where the conflict, despite not having been fully resolved, initiates a transformation process where violent regulations (direct, structural and cultural) between the parties are significantly reduced - being a crucial indicator the decrease in the number of fatalities - and a trend is generated towards the increase of peaceful regulations (negative, positive and cultural). In this sense, the period between the mediations produced by the Trujillo Treaties between the parties in dispute, in November 1820, and the Battle of Carabobo, in June 1821, is identified as the one where the foundations of the post-conflict - that will extend its duration until almost the last third of the XIX century - are laid.
