Since mid-twentieth century urban environments are characterized by the dominance of the vehicle as the main means of travel. The consequences of the massive use of the car are the transformation of lifestyles towards sedentary ones, atmospheric, acoustic and visual pollution, the risk of accidents and the displacement of citizens and public space to a secondary role. It is necessary to rethink and update the role of private conventional vehicles in order to reduce the environmental impact and improve the living conditions of the cities.
