  Araticum (Annona crassifloraMart.) is a native plant to the Cerrado that has social, cultural, and economic importance due to the various uses it can be employed. The context in which this species finds itself, with factors that reduce its habitat and limit its reproduction, legitimizes the identification of potential areas of its occurrence, which can help in the management and restoration of its habitat. In this sense, the present work aimed to analyze the potential geographic distribution of araticum. Based on occurrence points and environmental data (climate and edaphic), six models of the potential geographic distribution of araticum and a consensus map of these models (ensemble) were generated. The latter was also analyzed in terms of spatial intersection with land use and land cover and with Conservation Units (UC). The six models were satisfactorily fitted and, together with the ensemble, suggest a contiguous zone comprising approximately 22.37% of the Neotropical region as suitable for the occurrence of araticum and having itshighest values of environmental suitability distributed mainly in the Brazilian territory. The potential distribution area of araticum in Brazil has a strong anthropic presence and low presence of UC, especially those belonging to the full protection group, requiring a set of actions and plans that can guarantee its preservation.

  O araticum (Annona crassifloraMart.) é uma planta nativa do Cerrado que possui importância social, cultural e econômica devido aos diversos usos que pode ser empregado. O contexto em que esta espécie se encontra, com fatores que reduzem o seu habitat e limitam sua reprodução, legitima a identificação das áreas potenciais de sua ocorrência, o que pode auxiliar no gerenciamento e restauração do seu habitat. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a distribuição geográfica potencial do araticum. Com base em pontos de ocorrência e em dados ambientais (climáticos e edáficos), foram gerados seis modelos de distribuição geográfica potencial do araticum e um mapa de consenso destes modelos (ensemble). Este último foi objeto de análise também quanto à intersecção espacial com o uso e cobertura da terra e com Unidades de Conservação (UC). Os seis modelos foram satisfatoriamente ajustados e, juntamente com o ensemble, sugerem uma zona contígua que compreende aproximadamente 22,37% da região neotropical como adequada à ocorrência do araticum e tem seus maiores valores de adequabilidade ambiental distribuídos majoritariamente no território brasileiro. A área de distribuição potencial do araticum no Brasil apresenta forte presença antrópica e baixa presença de UC, sobretudo as pertencentes ao grupo de proteção integral, sendo necessário um conjunto de ações e planos que possam garantir a sua preservação.
