Resumen de On borders and boundaries in Spain: A state of the art
Academic studies of border issues have undergone considerable growth atthe international scale in recent years with the emergence of so-called border studies. Inthis line of research dedicated to borders and their socio-spatial repercussions, geographyclearly has a key role to play. Here, I report a state of the art of Spanish geographicalproduction in the field of border studies. However, given that, by definition, borderstudies is multidisciplinary, works undertaken in related disciplines are also reported.Finally, Spanish production is examined in relation to the broader international context,with the aim of detecting any possible shortcomings and providing ideas to strengthenresearch on borders and boundaries.
