Resum:	The Sun Also Rises, publicada en 1926, está considerada una de las obras más importantes del escritor norteamericano Ernest Hemingway y una de las novelas más representativas de la nueva literatura modernista publicada en Estados Unidos durante los años veinte del pasado siglo. La novela se tradujo, en primer lugar, al alemán, en 1928, solo dos años después de que Hemingway escribiera su obra. No obstante, la primera traducción de la novela al español no verá la luz hasta 1944, año en que se publica en Argentina; esta será, además, la primera traducción de The Sun Also Rises que se publique en España, en 1948. Siguieron tres traducciones más, en 1979, 1983 y 2002. El artículo aporta datos sobre estas cuatro traducciones, da noticia del plagio de una de ellas que se publicó en México en 1979, y comenta alguna alternativa al título Fiesta, que fue el que se adoptó en la mayoría de ediciones de las distintas traducciones al español. El artículo concluye con una referencia a las deficiencias que presentan las traducciones publicadas hasta la fecha, entre las que destaca la escasa comprensión de la innovación estilística que introdujo el nobel norteamericano.
Resum:	The Sun Also Rises, published in 1926, is considered one of the most important works of the American writer Ernest Hemingway and one of the most representative novels of the new modernist literature published in the United States in the 1920s. The novel was first translated into German in 1928, only two years after Hemingway had written his work. However, the first translation of the novel into Spanish did not appear until 1944, when it was published in Argentina; this one would also be the first translation of The Sun Also Rises to be published in Spain, in 1948. Three more translations followed in 1979, 1983, and 2002. The article provides data on these four translations, reports on the plagiarism of one of them, which was published in Mexico in 1979, and comments on some alternatives to the title Fiesta, the one adopted in most editions of the different translations. The article concludes with a reference to the shortcomings of the translations published to date, notably the poor understanding of the stylistic innovation introduced by the American Nobel laureate.
