  El objetivo general de la investigación fue describir los indicadores en superdotación estudiantil. Se enfocó desde el paradigma positivista, desde el enfoque cuantitativo, con un apoyo documental-bibliográfico. Las fuentes documentales proporcionaron la información necesaria de todo lo que se ha publicado del tema. Esto permitió trabajar con conocimientos, teorías e ideas, recién elaboradas, ya que estas sirvieron de base al trabajo intelectual planteado. De esta forma, se ubicó en el estado del arte, con relación a la problemática, que se planteó estudiar. Dichas fuentes se apoyaron en tesis, trabajos arbitrados, y artículos científicos. Además, se elaboró y aplicó un cuestionario a 20 estudiantes con promedios académicos entre 98 y 100%, así mismo a sus representantes, lo que constituyó la muestra del estudio. Se concluye que, la gran potencialidad de los superdotados amerita un seguimiento desde la educación temprana hasta la vida universitaria y evitar la pérdida de los talentos estudiantiles.

  The general objective of the research was to describe the indicators of student giftedness. It was approached from the positivist paradigm, from the quantitative approach, with documentary-bibliographic support. The documentary sources provided the necessary information on everything that has been published on the subject. This made it possible to work with knowledge, theories and ideas, recently elaborated, since these served as the basis for the intellectual work proposed. In this way, it was placed in the state of the art, in relation to the problem, which was proposed to be studied. These sources were based on theses, refereed works and scientific articles. In addition, a questionnaire was elaborated and applied to 20 students with academic averages between 98 and 100%, as well as to their representatives, which constituted the sample of the study. It is concluded that the great potential of the gifted deserves a follow-up from early education to university life and to avoid the loss of student talents.
