  La protecció de la cultura popular i tradicional a Mallorca, a Menorca, a Eivissa i a Formentera palesa, com a fet estructural i estructurant profund a l’arxipèlag, la territorialització manifesta de la realitat insular. Així ho ha evidenciat, dins el marc estatutari, la legislació autonòmica de patrimoni històric i la de cultura popular i tradicional. I la novíssima normativa que hi ha incidit –particularment sobre allò immaterial i la identitat– també ho ha hagut de reconèixer, com a prius innat. A tot l’anterior s’afegeix la repercussió que es deriva, a les Illes, de la normativa internacional i estatal sobre protecció del patrimoni cultural immaterial, amb la qual cosa el concepte tradicional i estàtic del patrimoni protegit s’ha modificat per un de més gran i dinàmic, que abasta tot allò cultural, siga tangible, siga intangible.

  The protection of popular and traditional culture in Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera shows, as a structural and deep structuring fact in the archipelago, the manifest territorialisation of island reality.
