Ausiàs March's Poem CXII is a long meditatio mortis that brings an existential dimesion to the author's moral poetry. Though an upward movement from fear to faith, hope and love, this poem describes the efforts of human thought to solve the problem of our mortal condition. A close reading of this work shows the main constituent ideas of Asuiàs March's thinking on life and death. The poet's meditation is based on the conceptual architecture of scholastic Artistotelianism, but his axiology rather tends to Stocisim's ideal of virtue, within a framework of Christian beliefs.

El poema CXII d'Ausiàs March és una llarga meditatio mortis que aporta una dimensió existencial a la poesia moral de l'autor. Al llarg d'un moviment ascendent de la por a l'exaltació de la fe, l'esperança i la caritat, aquest poema descriu els esforços del pensament humà per resoldre el problema de la nostra condició mortal. Una lectura atenta d'aquesta obra mostra les principals idees constitutives i del pensament d'Ausiàs March sobre la vida i la mort. La meditació del poeta se sosté en l'arquitectura conceptual de l'aristotelisme escolàstic, però a la seva axiologia tendeix a l'ideal de virtut de l'estoïcisme, dins d'un marc de creences cristià.
