A partir del estudio de las publicaciones europeas y americanas médicas que abordan las cuestiones higienistas durante el último tercio del siglo XIX y las bibliotecas de las instituciones chilenas ligadas con las prácticas higienistas, este artículo aborda la cuestión de la circulación y de la recepción del discurso higienista en Chile.

Based on the study of European and American medical publications that address hygienist issues during the last third of the 19th century and the libraries of Chilean institutions linked to hygienist practices, this article addresses the issue of circulation and reception of discourse hygienist in Chile.
