• Resumen

  • The conservation of animal zoogenetic resources following the general description and their racial characterization establishes conservation programs both in situ and ex situ. This work allows originating a germoplasm bank cryopreservation of different genetic materials. Reproductive techniques applied in CMG (Livestock Improvement Center) for the creation of genetics resource bank of cattle breed “Serrana de Teruel”. This breed is autochthonous from Aragon region and its current situation is endangered. To preserve this valuable breed we have included freezing semen and embryo freezing transfer. The current situation of animal genetic resources bank of this breed allows to the formation of the bank to levels dictated by FAO.
