Walk the paths of education from the perspective of the traveler Rocha Pombo, is the horizon of the present arti-cle. By analyzing travel notes as the source and object, aims to map the defenses on the existence of different educational institutions for children, women and di-sabled, because in the perspective of intellectual , the education is needed to raise the country as a great na-tion, in the direction of progress that was announced in the Republic. The contacts established with different subjects in journey times, held in the states of the said northern Brazil in 1917, were crucial to the adoption of Rocha Pombo’s textbooks in nationwide. To mark out the proposed questions, seeks to dialogue with the prospect of michel serres (1997), Peter Brenner (2011), antonio Viñao frago (2007), ana Chrystina mignot & José gonçal-ves gondra (2007).

Trilhar os caminhos da educação na ótica do viajante Rocha Pombo, é o horizonte do presente trabalho. ao analisar notas de viagem como fonte e objeto, buscam-se mapear as defesas em relação à existência de diferentes instituições educativas para crianças, mulheres e desvalidos, sujeitos que na perspectiva do intelectual, precisavam educar-se para elevar o país como grande nação, nos trilhos do progresso anunciados com a República. Os contatos estabelecidos com diferentes sujeitos nos tempos da viagem, realizada nos estados do dito norte do Brasil no ano de 1917, foram cruciais para a adoção e circulação dos livros didáticos do intelectual paranaense em âmbito nacional. Para balizar as questões propostas, busca dialogar com as perspectivas de michel serres (1997), Peter Brenner (2011), antonio Viñao frago (2007), ana Chrystina Venancio mignot & José gonçalves gondra (2007).
