  This paper demonstrates the importance of reflection on the concept of culture as well as the discussion between anthropology and administration, due to studies on organizational culture. Thus, the focus is given to a tourist town on the Municipal Secretary of Tourism and its influence on the direction of the culture of tourism in the local, through the perceptions of members of the Municipal Tourism Council and the secretary of tourism. The goal is to understand the influence of Municipal Secretary of Tourism the dynamics of tourism at the municipal level, from the perspective of culture. Thus, using qualitative research, using semi-structured interviews with the actors Municipal Conciul of Tourism listed by non-probability sampling for trial, using the analysis of content. As a result, one can observe three things: a current and widespread on the tourism, a focus on the role of municipal office and a vision of and relating to the secretary of tourism. It is concluded that the current management of this office indicates a guiding influence in this sector, with shares in the daily running and with prospects for the medium and long term.

  O presente artigo busca demonstrar, através de discussões antropológicas, a importância da reflexão sobre o conceito de cultura, bem como a discussão entre a antropologia e a administração, frente aos estudos sobre cultura organizacional. Deste modo, o enfoque é dado em uma cidade turística, sobre a Secretaria Municipal de Turismo e sua influência no direcionamento da cultura do turismo em âmbito local, através da percepção dos membros do Conselho Municipal de Turismo e do secretário de turismo. O objetivo é compreender a influência da SETUR na dinâmica do turismo a nível municipal, sob a ótica da cultura. Para tanto, utiliza-se de pesquisa qualitativa, por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas junto a atores do COMTUR elencados por amostragem não-probabilística por julgamento, utilizando a análise de conteúdo. Como resultados, podem-se observar três aspectos: a percepção atual e generalizada a respeito do turismo; um enfoque na atuação da secretaria municipal; e uma visão do e referente ao secretário de turismo. Conclui-se que, a atual gestão desta secretaria sinaliza para uma influência direcionadora nesse setor, com ações sendo executadas no cotidiano e também com perspectivas a médio e longo prazo.
