Resumen de Usiacurí: Modelo de autogestión comunitaria en el desarrollo turístico y ambiental en el Departamento del Atlántico – República de Colombia

  Este trabajo muestra los resultados obtenidos con la ejecución del proyecto ecoturístico Usiacurí Verde en el período 2004 – 2007, en el municipio de Usiacurí (Departamento del Atlántico – Colombia). La metodología desarrollada en el proyecto fue Investigación – Acción – Participación (IAP), entre los actores involucrados en el proyecto y la alcaldía municipal de Usiacurí.

  El desarrollo de este proyecto autogestionado por la comunidad de Usiacurí, permitió establecer un compromiso entre la Alcaldía y la comunidad en un proceso diferente al de la sola formalidad de participación y cumplimiento de la ley.

  Como resultado final de este proceso se formulo el Plan Estratégico de Desarrollo del Ecoturismo y el Turismo Cultural del Municipio de Usiacurí 2007-2017, bajo la asesoría de la Universidad Autónoma de Caribe, con el cual las siguientes administraciones municipales tendrán la ruta de trabajo a seguir a largo plazo en materia turística.

  La Administración y la comunidad tuvo entonces un doble reto: lograr resultados armónicos y tangibles, a partir de la capacidad conjunta de crear y avanzar en el desarrollo; y construir un modelo de autogestión posible de aplicarse en nuestras tierras colombianas.

  This work shows the results obtained with the implementation of the ecotourism project: Usiacurí Green in the period 2004 - 2017, in the municipality of Usiacurí (Department of Atlántico – Colombia). The methodology developed in the project was Research - Action - Participation (RAP) between the actors involved in the project and the municipal mayor Usiacurí.

  The development of this self-managed project, made by the community of Usiacurí allowed the compromise between the Mayor and the community in a different process more than just a formal participation and law enforcement. The result of this process made the Strategic Plan for Ecotourism Development and Tourism Cultural of the municipality of Usiacurí 2007-2017, under the supervision of the Universidad Autonoma del Caribe, with which will work together with the following municipal governments in a Long-term on the theme tourism.

  The Administration and the community had then a double challenge: ensuring the harmonious and tangible results, from a combined capacity to create and develop and build a model of self a management that may be applied in our lands in Colombia.
