    Este proyecto surge de la necesidad de acercar al alumnado conocimientos acerca del lugar donde viven, para que de esa manera descubran el patrimonio natural, artístico y cultural que los rodea. En un tiempo de pandemia en el que no se pueden hacer grandes desplazamientos y perdemos la relación más humana entre las personas, este proyecto pretende la colaboración de toda la comunidad educativa poniendo en valor la importancia del cuidado, respeto e implicación en nuestro entorno. Fornelos ao monte nace con el propósito de que todo lo que hagamos tenga una implicación social, que el alumnado pueda disfrutar de los espacios naturales al aire libre y aprender en contacto con la naturaleza. Alumnado, familias, profesorado, habitantes del entorno todos nos unimos en pro de Fornelos y el aprendizaje.

    This project aims to boost the students’ knowledge of their local area, Fornelos de Montes. It is based on the discovery of the natural, artistic and cultural heritage in the surroundings of the school. In current times, living through a global pandemic, travel is not feasible and human contact has been limited. In addition, the whole educational community is actively involved in this initiative in order to encourage students to take care and respect their local environment. “Fornelos ó Monte” arose from the concept that everything we do has a social implication, in which the students from the school can enjoy the nearby natural spaces and engage with nature. This project unites students, families, teachers and local inhabitants with the sole purpose of learning about Fornelos de Montes. We began our journey from the school library, planning with the help of local experts. We continued to work on maximising the benefits of this project due to its great potential. The results have been very positive and we have observed high levels of motivation, learning, autonomy, colloboration, decision making and critical thinking among the educational community.
