En esta contribución se edita, traduce y estudia el borrador del “Protrepticon ad Belgas”, un poema latino del humanista flamenco Bonaventura Vulcanius, en el que el autor hace una descripción y crítica de la Inquisición. Las correcciones hechas en el borrador nos permiten reflexionar sobre si los motivos para el limae labor fueron estilísticos, métricos o, quizás también, ideológicos

In this article, a draft of “Protrepticon ad Belgas”, a Latin poem written by the humanist Bonaventura Vulcanius, is scholarly edited, translated and commented. In it, the author describes and criticises the Spanish Inquisition. The corrections made on the text draft allow us to speculate on the causes motivating the limae labor, whether these have been stylistic, metrical or also ideological.
