    Desde que Reiske modificara el v. 251 de Edipo en Colono sustituyendo λόγος, transmitido por los manuscritos, por λέχος, los editores han aceptado esta corrección salvo escasas excepciones. Restituir λόγος confiere un significado más profundo desde el punto de vista político al verso.

    Reiske’s edition of the Oedipus Colonus text modifies line 251. In it, instead of λόγος, which turns up in manuscripts, the word λέχος appears. With a few exceptions, most editors of the Greek text accepted the correction. In this paper, we argue that the use of λόγος deepens the political interpretation of this line
