  El fútbol es un deporte de gran incertidumbre, el deportista debe adaptarse a entornos específicos, dinámicos y complejos producidos por la competición. La inteligencia contextual deportiva (ICD) es fundamental en el rendimiento del futbolista. En este estudio se relacionan las medidas del test ICD con variables asociadas a la práctica deliberada. Participaron 994 futbolistas, distribuidos por sexo, nivel de rendimiento y posición de juego. Se encontraron diferencias entre sexos, consistentes en las cuatro variables de ICD, con menores puntuaciones en las jugadoras. La ICD aumentaba con el nivel competitivo y, en cuanto a la posición de juego, se observaron tres perfiles diferenciados.

  Football (soccer) is a sport of great uncertainty, the athlete must be adapted to a specific environment, dynamic and complex as competition. The sports contextual intelligence (ICD) is fundamental for the player’s performance. In this study, the measures of the ICD test are related to variables related to deliberate practice. 994 soc- cer players participated, distributed by sex, level of performance and position of game. Differences between sexes were found, consisting of the four variables of ICD, with lower scores in the woman players. The ICD will increase with the competitive level and, as for the game position, three different profiles were observed.
