    In the Cap de Creus Natural Park, close to the old road to Cap de Creus and Cala Bona, there is an impressive outcrop which shows a set of deformation structures typical from mid and deep crustal levels. These are folds, cleavages and brittle-ductile shear zones affecting a metasedimentary sequence. We describe these structures and correlate them with the late-Variscan tectonic, metamorphic and hydrothermal events in Cap de Creus. The outcrop has interest at a range of levels, from geoeducational at primary school up to scientific in the fields of structural geology and metamorphic petrology. Taking into account the great geostructural value of the site and its location in the Natural Park next to a visitor’s pathway, a project of adequacy, conservation and communication of its geological heritage has been planned.

    En el Parque Natural de Cap de Creus, cerca del camino antiguo al Cap de Creus y de Cala Bona, existe un afloramiento espectacular de un conjunto de estructuras típicas de niveles corticales medios y profundos. Se trata de pliegues, clivajes y zonas de cizalla frágiles-dúctiles que afectan a una secuencia metasedimentaria. En este trabajo se describen dichas estructuras y se correlacionan con los episodios tectónicos, metamórficos e hidrotermales tardi-variscos en el Cap de Creus. El afloramiento presenta un amplio rango de niveles de interés, desde geoeducativo a nivel de enseñanza primaria, hasta científico en los campos de la geología estructural y la petrología metamórfica. Teniendo en cuenta el elevado valor geoestructural del sitio y su localización en el Parc Natural junto a un sendero muy concurrido por visitantes, se ha planificado un proyecto de adecuación, conservación y divulgación de su patrimonio geológico.
