Resumen de “Nuvens são pássaros...” Jesus na obra “A arca da Aliança” de Carlos Nejar

Carlos Nejar is a Brazilian poet, literary critic, novelist and translator. Member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, the gaucho author is listed by cri-tics among the thirty-seven most important poets of the century. His poetry has classical language, modern aesthetics and exposes human issues. The religious horizon in his literature is identified with the images and metaphors developed by him, which demonstrate intense intertextual relation with the Judeo-Christian tradition. Among his works, in the book “The Living”, especially in the second part, “Ark of the Covenant”, we find the rewriting of characters from the biblical canon, which serves him as an instrument to describe human dilemmas, on the lips of the characters. As a monument of the memories of culture, the work preserves canonical narratives by rereading them creatively. In this article, after a theoretical discussion about the relationship between literature and the Bible and presentation of Nejar will be analyzed as the character Jesus, quoted along-side others, is rewritten and the way as memories of Judeo-Christian culture are interpreted in intertextual and allegorically strategies, which makes it possible to present it as a rupture, in solidarity with human anguish and cosmic lord, whose creation is the poetic expression of the word.

Carlos Nejar é poeta, crítico literário, romancista e tradutor brasileiro. Membro da Academia Brasileira de Letras, o escritor gaúcho é listado pela crítica entre os trinta e sete poetas mais importantes do século. Sua poesia tem linguagem clássica, estética moderna e trata das questões humanas. O horizonte religioso em sua literatura pode ser identificado nas imagens e metáforas por ele desenvolvidas, as quais demonstram intensas relações intertextuais com a tradição judaico-cristã. Entre suas obras, no livro Os Viventes, em especial na segunda parte, A arca da Aliança, encontramos a reescritura de personagens do cânon bíblico, o que lhe serve como instrumento para descrever, nos lábios dos viventes, os dilemas humanos. Como um monumento das memórias da cultura, a obra preserva as narrativas canônicas relendo-as criativamente. Neste artigo, depois de uma discussão teórica a respeito da relação entre literatura e Bíblia e a apresentação de Nejar, será analisada a maneira como o vivente Jesus, citado ao lado de outros, é reescrito e as memórias da cultura judaico-cristãs são relidas intertextual e alegoricamente, o que possibilita apresentá-lo como ruptura, solidário à angustia humana e senhor cósmico, cuja criação é a expressão poética da palavra.
