    Objetivo: Exponer la relación existente entre el sistema estomatognático y la postura, así como algunas de las implicaciones que pueda tener para los profesionales de la osteopatía. Material y método: Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica y posterior comentario de una serie de artículos que relacionan el sistema estomatognático con la postura. Resultados: Hay cierta evidencia científica sobre la relación entre la articulación temporomandibular, el sistema trigeminal y el control postural. Conclusiones: El osteópata debe revisar el sistema estomatognático en la evaluación del paciente como prevención o tratamiento de los trastornos posturales.

    Objective: To present the relationship between the stomatognathic system and posture, as well as some of the potential implications of this relationship for osteopaths. Material and method: We provide a literature review and discussion of articles examining the relationship between the stomatognathic system and posture. Results: There is some scientific evidence of the relationship between the temporomandibular joint, the trigeminal system and postural control. Conclusion: Osteopaths should review the stomatognathic system when evaluating patients as part of prevention or treatment of postural disorders.
