Resumen de Sostenibilidad de destinos turísticos protegidos: el caso de Galicia

  A pesar de la creciente afluencia de turistas a espacios naturales protegidos (ENP), la investigación sobre desempeño sostenible de dichos espacios entendidos como destinos turísticos, todavía está en sus inicios. En el presente trabajo se realiza una propuesta de medición de desempeño turístico sostenible adaptada para ENP y se realiza un diagnóstico de desempeño turístico sostenible de una muestra de ENP de Galicia. Los resultados permiten destacar el efecto bienestar económico como debilidad en cuanto a su desempeño sostenible, pero también la fortaleza del elevado sentido de comunidad e identificación con el territorio de la población local.

  Despite the growing number of tourists to protected natural areas (ENP), research on the sustainable performance of these areas as tourist destinations is still scarce. In the present work, a measurement of sustainable tourism performance adapted to ENP is proposed and sustainable tourism performance of a sample of ENP from Galicia is analysed. The results highlight the economic well-being effect as a weakness in terms of its sustainable performance, but also the strength of the high sense of community and identification with the territory of the local population
