  Desde la realización de los trabajos de investigación y de documentación sobre la producción y la transformación de esparto que el Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural de España (IPCE) promovió en el 2015 en el marco de las acciones impulsadas por la Comisión de Seguimiento del Plan Nacional de Salvaguarda del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial, y desde la posterior presentación del Plan de Salvaguarda de la Cultura del Esparto en el 2016, por esta misma institución: ¿qué se ha hecho? ¿En qué punto se encuentra la pervivencia del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial espartero relacionado con los ámbitos domésticos y profesionales? ¿Hasta qué punto se han puesto en marcha acciones de conservación de sus conocimientos más destacados? ¿Qué acciones se han llevado a cabo para conseguir su reconocimiento institucional? Con este artículo, se pretende responder a esas preguntas y levantar un pequeño estado de la cuestión con el fin de definir cuáles son los retos a los que la salvaguarda del patrimonio cultural inmaterial espartero tendrá que confrontarse en el futuro.

  Since the realization of the research and documentation work on the production and transformation of esparto that the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain promoted in 2015 within the framework of the actions promoted by the Commission follow-up to the National Plan for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, and since the subsequent publication of the National Plan of Safeguarding the Culture of Esparto in 2017, by this same institution:

  what has been done? At what point is the survival of the Intangible Heritage of the Culture of Esparto related to the domestic and professional fields? To what extent have measures been taken to preserve their outstanding knowledge? What steps have been taken to secure its institutional recognition? This paper is intended to answer these questions and raise a small state of the matter in order to define what are the challenges that the safeguarding of the Intangible Heritage of the Culture of Esparto will have to face in the future.
