El pensamiento sistémico (PS) se considera esencial para comprender el funcionamiento de los ecosistemas y cómo interfieren en él ciertas actividades humanas. Entonces, parece necesario que los futuros docentes de Primaria desarrollen este tipo de razonamiento durante su formación. En este trabajo, se ha analizado cómo 86 estudiantes del Grado de Educación Primaria utilizan estrategias del PS cuando abordan algunas problemáticas ambientales. Los resultados muestran ciertas dificultades, en especial, cuando estas problemáticas no implican relaciones tróficas directas y requieren el manejo de una escala espacial, además de la temporal. No superar estas dificultades puede suponer un importante obstáculo para promover el PS en la escuela.

Systemic thinking (PS) is considered essential to understand the functioning of ecosystems and how certain human activities interfere with it. Therefore, it seems necessary that future Primary teachers develop this kind of reasoning during their training. In this work, it has been analysed how 86 future Primary teachers use strategies of the PS when they address some environmental problems. The results show some difficulties, especially when these problems do not imply classic trophic relationships and require the management of the spatial scale, besides the temporal one. Not overcoming these difficulties might be a major obstacle to promoting PS at the school.
