    • These notes comment briefly on the development work, action orientated research and radical thinking which might help to produce gaming and simulation developments which may be more fruitful in the future. It is the writer's belief that much more encouragement should be given to the intellectual challenge of refining existing models and to applying established simulation procedures to new situations. The need for greater discrimination and diversity of effort from all involved with simulation activities is examined and a wider commitment to concerted and complementary approaches to acknowledged problems is urged.
