    El presente artículo tratará sobre el tema esponsal en el cuarto evangelio en las perícopas en las que aparecen María de Betania y María Magdalena. Siendo este evangelio una obra cargada de lenguaje simbólico, trataremos de encontrar la relación esponsal representada de este modo en los mencionados personajes y en las situaciones que los rodean, y la representación que ofrecen de la Iglesia como esposa de Cristo. Para esto, buscaremos las conexiones de los textos con el libro del Cantar de los Cantares, con el que parece haber una vinculación especial.

    The present article will deal with the spousal theme in the fourth Gospel in the pericope in which Mary of Bethany and Mary Magdalene appear. Being this Gospel a work full of symbolic language, we will try to find the spousal relationship represented in this way in the aforementioned characters and in the situations that surround them, and the representation they offer of the Church as the bride of Christ. For this, we will look for the connections of the texts with the book of the Song of Songs, with which there seems to be a special connection.
