Resumen de Reflexiones sobre la disputa por el discurso entre el Estado uruguayo y el MLN-Tupamaros (1967-1972), a partir de la “toma” de la ciudad de Soca

El presente artículo pretende analizar, mediante un caso testigo, la disputa entre el Estado uruguayo y el Movimiento de Liberación Nacional -Tupamaros (MLN-T) por el discurso y la adjudicación de sentido de las acciones emprendidas por el movimiento revolucionario; batalla dialéctica que tuvo lugar entre 1967 y 1972. El episodio en cuestión es la “toma” de la ciudad de Soca, acaecido el trece de febrero de 1972; y en pos de reconocer las distintas versiones que, en pleno enfrentamiento dialéctico, se produjeron sobre este hecho, se entrecruzarán un amplio abanico de fuentes primarias y secundarias. A su vez, se buscará demostrar que aquella acción no fue un episodio aislado y fortuito; para lo cual se describirán diversos momentos previos que entendemos terminaron precipitándola.

This article aims to analyze, through a witness case, the dispute between the Uruguayan State and the National Liberation Movement -Tupamaros (MLN-T) over the discourse and the adjudication of the meaning of the actions undertaken by the revolutionary movement; dialectical battle that took place between 1967 and 1972. The episode in question is the “takeover” of the city of Soca, which occurred on February 13, 1972; and in order to recognize the different versions that, in the midst of a dialectical confrontation, were produced about this fact, a wide range of primary and secondary sources will intersect. At the same time, it will seek to demonstrate that that action was not an isolated and fortuitous episode; for which various previous moments will be described that we understand ended up precipitating it.
