Resumen: Histology studies the microscopic structure of organisms through histological images (HI). Traditionally, learning to diagnose HI is based on repeated observation. Previously, to facilitate and enhance this learning, a series of symbolic models of microscopic components or "tissue structures" (TS) were constructed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the acceptance and utility of a new TS catalogue that assists in learning to diagnose HI. After generating the new catalogue of TS and establishing its relationship with the corresponding HI, seminars were held with students of Biology at the University of Alicante. Aided by a virtual microscope and a guide to the new systematization of TS, students were invited to perform several diagnosis exercises in small groups. At the end of these activities, the students answered a short questionnaire to rate their perception of the systematization used. The majority of students rated the systematization of the TS and the material provided for their learning very highly. The systematization of Histology microscopic structures enhanced their perception among students.
