En el presente estudio se examinan algunos hitos de la recepción de santa Teresa de Ávila en Francia: desde el siglo XVII, cuando sus obras, traducidas al francés, son leídas y meditadas por san Francisco de Sales y las monjas de Port-Royal, hasta el momento actual, a través de testimonios tan significativos en su diversidad como los de J.K. Huysmans, Henri Bergson, Paul Claudel, E. M. Cioran, Simone de Beauvoir y Julia Kristeva.

The present study examines the landmarks in the reception of Saint Teresa of Avila in France from the 17th century, when her works, translated into French, were read and studied by Saint Francis de Sales and the nuns of Port-Royal, until the present time through the diverse significant considerations of people of the stature ofJ. K. Huysmans, Henri Bergson, Paul Claudel, E. M. Cioran, Simone de Beauvoir and Julia Kristeva.
