  • Resumen
    • Within the Lepantine epic production, which in recent years seems to have received more critic attention, the unpublished Cantos de la batalla ausonia by the Portuguese Pedro de Acosta Perestrello has been gone unnoticed throughout the centuries. In this work we study a scene of hospitality and internal narration of this curious epic in the light of classic literary models, especially the Vergilian one. In our analysis we will attend to the possible influence that Os lusíadas could have on it and to the thematic and contextual coincidences with the epic Felicísima Victoria composed in Spanish by the also Portuguese Jerónimo de Corte-Real.
