Resumen de Entre antagonismos y continuidades. La crisis de valores en la narrativa de Rosario Castellanos

• The fight for power is a persistent topic in Rosario Castellanos’s fiction; here we consider it within the framework of Mexican moral values of her time (los Altos de Chiapas, 1935-45). The implicit axiological crisis allows us to identify problems such as: the right to express sexuality, the existence of a moral hierarchy inside different social groups, and the complexities to interact between people who live in the city and indigenous people. The latency of a social problem it’s a starting point for the narrator to investigate the techniques used by the characters to preserve and/or deal their rights.
