El proyecto STAGE-STE, financiado parcialmente por el 7º Programa Marco de la Comisión Europea, es una iniciativa estrechamente relacionada con el Programa Conjunto sobre Energía Solar de Concentración de la Alianza Europa de Investigación (EERA). Ambas iniciativas se encuentran coordinadas por el CIEMAT y suponen una demostración y refrendo de la importante actividad desarrollada en este campo por dicho organismo a través, fundamentalmente, de la Plataforma Solar de Almería. El objetivo de ambas iniciativas es el de asegurar el liderazgo internacional de la industria termosolar europea mediante el reforzamiento e intensificación de la colaboración entre los centros europeos de investigación de referencia en este campo.

Project STAGE-STE, partially financed by the European Commission 7th Framework Program, is an initiative that is closely linked to the Joint Program on Concentrated Solar Power of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA).
Both initiatives are coordinated by the CIEMAT and represent a demonstration and endorsement of the important activities carried out in this field by this organization, primarily at the Almería Solar Platform. The objective of both initiatives is to ensure the international leadership of the European solar thermal industry by strengthening and intensifying the collaboration between leading European research centers in this field
