El uso generalizado de las redes sociales y las posibilidades de gestión de la información que ofrecen, plantean diversos problemas respecto del empleo de la imagen de las personas por parte de terceros. Los tribunales están tratando de limitar tales posibilidades para proteger la dignidad y personalidad del individuo. En este trabajo vamos a analizar el último pronunciamiento del Tribunal Constitucional al respecto, sin dejar de reconocer que, quizás, sea hora de plantearse una solución más efectiva que permita frenar de forma eficaz el uso desmesurado de la imagen de terceros en las redes sociales y, con ello, los posibles perjuicios

The widespread use of social networks and the information management possibilities they offer raise a number of issues regarding the use of people's image by third parties. The courts are trying to limit such possibilities in order to protect the dignity and personality of the individual. In this paper we will analyse the latest pronouncement of the Tribunal Constitucional (Constitutional Court) on this matter, while recognizing that perhaps it is time to consider a more effective solution that will effectively curb the excessive use of the image of third parties on social networks and, with it, the potential damage.
