Importancia de la competencia lógico-matemática en los estudiantes del Grado en Educación Infantil

    En este trabajo se analizan los errores cometidos por estudiantes de Magisterio de la titulación de Grado en Educación Infantil en el planteamiento de actividades para desarrollar el pensamiento lógico matemático en niños de esta etapa, que ponen de manifiesto faltas de rigor, así como deficiencias en su pensamiento lógico. Esto puede tener repercusiones en su futura profesión ya que su paso por la Universidad no consigue solventarlas, y se considera un hecho grave porque es en la primera etapa de la vida de los niños cuando se consolidan las bases cognitivas que deberán servir de soporte a los conocimientos posteriores. Hace ya muchos años que se viene constatando que muchos de los estudiantes que cursan los Grados en Educación presentan lagunas en la organización de su pensamiento que se manifiestan cuando escriben textos o cuando organizan la información o preparan un examen. La novedad de este trabajo es evidenciarlas de forma clara en sus propuestas de actividades para niños.

    This paper analyzes the mistakes made by Teaching students of the Degree in Early Childhood Education in the planning of activities to develop logical mathematical thinking in children of this stage, which reveal faults of rigor, as well as deficiencies in their logical thinking. This can have repercussions on their future work with children since their passage through the University does not solve them and it is considered a serious fact because it is at the first stage of children’s lives when the cognitive bases that should support subsequent children’s knowledge are consolidated. For some time now it has been found that many of the students of the Degree in Early Childhood Education present deficiencies in the organization of their thinking, which become evident when they write texts, when they organize information, or an exam. The novelty of this work is to show them up clearly in their proposals for children activities.
