In this article, after initially investigating the formation of the decent work concept, we will focus our interest in the contextualization of this right on people with disabilities. The pillars of reference and guidance in our study will be formed by two international legal instruments of maximum depth: on the one hand, ILO Convention No. 159 (1983); on the other, the New York Convention (2006). From the interpretation and harmonized application of both standards, the informative principles will be derived on which the set of measures, political and legislative actions oriented towards the protection, inclusion and non-discrimination will be based, which, in short, form the fundamental basis of the right to decent work of this collective.
