Resumen de Evolución, evaluación, tendencias y retos del turismo sostenible en Andalucia: una aproximación

El estudio realiza una breve aproximación de la evolución, tendencias y retos principales del turismo sostenible en Andalucía, ilustrado con ejemplos de buenas prácticas. En primer lugar, introduce el contexto y evolución del turismo sostenible, los espacios naturales protegidos, el turismo de naturaleza, y el turismo urbano en la región. A continuación, se centra en dos tendencias protagonistas de profundas transformaciones emergentes y futuras: el cambio climático y la economía colaborativa. Finalmente, lleva a cabo una evaluación DAFO. Se evidencia el carácter marginal del turismo sostenible, aunque se aprecian señales de avance regional y mundial. Como conclusión, se propone crear un sistema sencillo de ecofiscalidad turística que recompense e identifique objetivamente las experiencias más sostenibles, y evite el dumping ambiental y social entre destinos y modalidades turísticas.

The aim of this study is to briefly explore the evolution, trends and main challenges of sustainable tourism in Andalusia, by illustrating some good practices. First, an introduction is given to the regional context and evolution of sustainable tourism, protected natural areas, ecotourism and urban tourism. Second, the study focuses on two main trends and drivers: climate change and collaborative economy. Finally, a SWOT analysis is carried out. Evidences are found indicating that sustainable tourism holds a marginal status, although some insights show that progress exists on a regional and global context. As a conclusion, a simple tourism eco-fiscality system is necessary, in order to objectively reward and identify the most sustainable experiences, by avoiding environmental and social dumping across destinations and different types of tourism.
