Resumen de Automated visual inspection of web-type products using unitary transforms
A tecnique based upon the DCT is proposed for automated visual inspection of web type products. The tecnique not only provides defect detection, but also classifies defects. It will be shown that only 23% of the transform coefficients are sufficient for defect detection and classification in a six class problem. A heuristic classifier is designed for defect classification of real textile prodcuts and resulted in hundred percent correct classification. An objective class determination method simplifies the standardization of defects in textile industry.
