A serial bus for microprocessor interfacing, was designed to minimize hardware and developemental costs by allowing the designed of modular subsystems. Asynchronous serial ports, aIEEE 488-like operational logic and an arbitration procedure for conflicts, breaks and errors were used. The bus operation was satisfactory tested in a small system composed of three units equipped with HD6303.
