El Museo de la Catedral de León custodia varios estalos que podrían pertenecer al primer proyecto de sillería tardogótica del templo y que suponen el paso de las sillerías anicónicas, de larga trayectoria en Castilla, a los nuevos ejemplos figurativos que renovarían esta tipología mobiliaria en la segunda mitad del XV, gracias a la llegada de artistas foráneos y al interés de obispos y cabildos por conseguir nuevos conjuntos corales mejor adaptados a sus necesidades funcionales y simbólicas.

The Museum of the Cathedral of Leon keeps several stalls that could belong to the first late gothic project for the temple's choir and that suppose the transition from aniconic stalls, very typical previously in Castile, to the new figurative examples that would renew this type of furniture in the second half of the XVth century, thanks to the arrival of foreign artists and the interest of bishops and chapters to get new choir ensembles better adapted to their funtional and symbolic needs.
