Resumen de Vítores y epigrafías de color en la arquitectura de las Merindades de Burgos

Los vítores pintados desde finales del siglo XVI hasta mediados del XVIII en las fachadas de edificios académicos de Salamanca correspondían a una costumbre festiva y laudatoria relacionada con los triunfos en oposiciones y obtención de cargos universitarios o administrativos. Aunque en la bibliografía especializada no se hace referencia a la provincia de Burgos, en la comarca de las Merindades se conservan al menos 13 vítores antiguos, algunos del siglo XIX, y dos más de la época franquista.

The cheers painted from the end of the sixteenth century to the middle of the eighteenth century on the facades of academic buildings in Salamanca corresponded to a festive and laudatory custom related to triumphs in oppositions and obtaining university or administrative positions. Although in the specialized bibliography there is no reference to the province of Burgos, in the region of the Merindadades there are at least 13 old cheers, some of the nineteenth century, and two more from the Franco era.
