Resumen de Un recorrido histórico por los revestimientos de las fachadas del centro de Valencia

El artículo pretende dar una visión histórica general sobre los revestimientos tradicionales de las fachadas del centro histórico de Valencia. En concreto, a través del estudio de diversas fuentes bibliográficas, archivísticas y de los ejemplos aún conservados en edificios residenciales fechados desde finales del siglo XVIII hasta principios del XX. Asimismo, al poder definir sus características más destacadas tanto técnicas como decorativas, es posible detallar su evolución histórica y artística.

The article aims to give a general historical view on the traditional renderings of the façade in the historic centre of Valencia. Particularly, through the study of various bibliographic, archival sources and examples that are still preserved in residential buildings dating from the late eighteenth century to the beginning of the century XX. Moreover, when defining its most outstanding characteristics, both techinical and decorative, it is possible to detail its historical and artistic evolution.
