    La dinámica imparable del crecimiento urbano actual consume energía, recursos y territorio y es responsable de más del 50% de las emisiones que producen el cambio climático global. En este trabajo se ha realizado un estudio, tanto a nivel teórico como práctico, sobre la influencia de la forma urbana en el consumo energético de los barrios situados en el área metropolitana de A Coruña. Se enfrentarán distintos tejidos urbanos con el fin de encontrar aquellos que resultan ser más eficientes. Estos resultados serán decisivos a la hora de programar inversiones en reformas energéticas: la mejora del consumo energético de un edificio no podrá llegar a ser el óptimo si no dispone de una estructura urbana adecuada.

    The unstoppable dynamic of the current urban growth consumes energy, resources and territory, and is responsible of more than the 50% of the emissions that produce the global climate change. A theoretical and practical study has been carried on in order to determinate the influence of urban form in energy consumption in the neighborhoods located at the A Coruña metropolitan area. Different urban fabrics will be contrasted to find out those that turns out to be more efficient. These results will be critical when programming investments in energy reforms: improving the energy consumption of a building cannot be optimal if it does not have an adequate urban structure.
